Although many companies have cut positions or laid off employees over the last eighteen months, oilfield jobs haven’t dried up completely. Listed below are ten jobs in ND still open and waiting for your application.

KLJ Solutions has a number of engineer positions open and recently posted with start dates immediately to early May. One position is located in Bismarck and requires two years of experience. Another position, available in Dickinson, requires no previous experience. Both include full time hours and benefits. You must have a bachelor’s degree or in engineering or a related field and a valid driver’s license. KLJ engineers provide services for projects in a timely, accurate, and cost effective manner.

MBI Energy Services is a diversified oil field service company  established in Belfield, North Dakota and has been operating since 1979. The company offers a complete range of solutions that include fluid, logistics, and well services. MBI Energy Services is hiring in many positions in several locations. Below are a few choice picks, which require an array of requirements from GED and little to no experience or years of experience and many certifications. Full time hours and benefits are also an advantage to these jobs.

  1. Oil Truck Driver–MBI is looking for drivers in Watford City, Kildeer, and Ross. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL with Doubles and Triples endorsement and Hazmat endorsement.
  2. Winch Truck Operator–This position requires a Class A CDL in addition to an understanding of mechanics, heavy equipment, recover physics, oversize truck & equipment transportation in adverse road and weather conditions. You must have sense of “feel” and coordination when operating a winch. You must have the ability to multitask and take instruction.
  3. Workover Rig Floorhand–Although this position is fulltime, expect daytime and nighttime shifts. You must have a valid driver’s license, and a Class A, B, or CDL is preferred. Got other heavy equipment licenses or certifications? Those are a huge plus. Workover rig experience and basic oilfield well servicing is also a preferred qualification.

Whiting Petroleum Corporation is searching for a Lease Operator in Williston. Communication skills and computer proficiency to be used in data tracking are requirements for this job. To qualify for this job, you must have knowledge of safety regulations and procedures with field operations, mechanical abilities, and be available for call out duty. Whiting Petreoleum is a top crude oil producer in North Dakota and operates substantial assets in northern Colorado and Texas, with headquarters in Denver.

With new pipelines in the works, jobs updating and maintaining the infrastructure necessary to transport crude are available in several areas. ONEOK is searching for an experienced pipeline operator to maintain pipeline systems and related equipment. The person must be knowledgeable in government regulations as well as characteristics of natural gas and gas liquids, pigging pipelines, blowing drips, gauging tanks and collecting liquids. The candidate must understand construction methods. Other duties include patrolling pipelines, performing leakage surveys and locating/marking lines. This person must also have experience in various field function including measurement, cathodic protection, and compressor/pump station operations.
